About me

I am Iddo (Ido) Simchoni, a Cinematographer and Colorist driven by a deep passion for storytelling and collaboration. I am currently based in Los Angeles, where I am completing my MFA as a Cinematography Fellow at the AFI Conservatory.

 

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with leading filmmakers, artists, and global brands, including Samsung and Toyota. My work spans high-profile television, narrative cinema, and commercial campaigns. Recently, I served as a Cinematographer on the Ophir Award-winning series One Song and as the Colorist for the documentary feature Transkids, directed by Oscar and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Hila Medalia.

 

I excel at transforming visual concepts into reality through technical precision and an uncompromising creative vision. Beyond the technical, I believe in using my craft to support the community. I find great value in pro bono work for non-profit organizations, such as recent collaborations with Make-A-Wish, helping to tell stories that matter.
